01 / The house

Films need time. And somewhere to spend it.

A film is rewritten in the edit. Through images, conversations and silences, unexpected connections emerge and the story begins to take shape.

GULU GULU presenta is a documentary post-production studio with the spirit of a home. A space in Barcelona to settle in with a film, focus on the work and share the process with people who understand its demands.

Come with your collaborators, or work with us through the different stages of post-production. We bring a personal approach, sound judgement and respect for each project’s vision.

02 / Services

Staying close to the film.

01

Post-production coordination

We organise the stages, schedules and specialists each project needs. From the edit to final delivery, we coordinate the whole process or individual stages: sound, colour, graphics, subtitles and conforming.

02

Editing space

A private room to work on your own or with your filmmaking collaborators. Available for individual days, weeks or months, depending on your project. A place to concentrate, hold screenings and discuss the material.

03

Creative support

Sometimes sharing an edit helps you see the film afresh. We offer an outside perspective on structure, rhythm and the questions the material raises, always respecting the work of the director and editor.

04

Professional network

We work with editors, sound professionals, colourists and other specialists. We suggest collaborators according to each film’s needs, sensibility and resources.

05

Full production services

We support your film’s production from development to final delivery. We plan each stage, coordinate people and resources, and keep the project moving forward according to its needs.

03 / Work

Films along the way.

GULU GULU presenta also grows out of making films. These projects reflect part of Filip Martinović’s work in directing, producing and international co-production. Experiences that have shaped a way of working and the creative relationships that bring the house to life today.

Filip Martinović

From within filmmaking.

GULU GULU presenta grows from Filip Martinović’s experience as a filmmaker and producer. From making films, sharing the process with other filmmakers and discovering how deeply working conditions shape what eventually reaches the screen.

Directing and producing documentaries has taught us to live with uncertainty, listen to the material and recognise when to persist, pause or seek another perspective. It has also taught us to sustain the less visible side of filmmaking: organising, coordinating and finding solutions that make creative decisions possible.

The studio brings together this experience and a network of professionals with whom we have built relationships of trust. We support each project according to its needs, with personal commitment, sound judgement and attention to detail.

We want everyone who works here to feel supported and have room to make the house their own. Finishing a film is demanding work, and we care as much about the way we get there as the final result.
